Hands Free Percussion Drilling

Hands-free percussion drilling is a method that minimises operator fatigue and percussive vibration to the operator. The simple design extracts dust to a vacuum hoover and protects against Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAV’s) by removing the operator from the percussive action.

Exposure to high levels of vibration has caused irreversible nerve-damage known as HAVS or ‘white finger’ and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), to thousands of employees across industries. With our hands free method this is eliminates any HAV exposure to the operator leaving them safe to work a full shift.

Percussion drilling is perfect for projects that require rough-sided holes for resin anchors and mechanical fixings. For example, anchoring steel-framed structures or fixing dowel bars into concrete cast joints. This work can be carried out using either hand or hands free methods; the first being regulated by the HSE / HAV guidelines.
